Spine and Pain Care of Oklahoma was founded by Dr. Edward A. Shadid in Oklahoma City in 2001.  The 13,000 patients who have been treated at Spine Care of Oklahoma include a large number of soldiers, primarily from Fort Sill in Lawton.

Our Doctors
Gentian Meta, MD

Gentian Meta M.D. completed his medical residency in 

Anesthesiology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  After finishing his residency he completed his Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

 

Dr. Meta is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and Fellowship trained in 

Interventional Pain Management. He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and American Society of Anesthesiologists.

 

Dr. Meta's mission is to offer each patient world-class treatment, integrating innovative, cutting edge, and evidence based approaches to pain management.

Edward A. Shadid, MD

Edward A. Shadid is a board-certified spinal surgeon who received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Northwestern University in Chicago. He returned to the University of Oklahoma for his medical degree, trained in general and orthopedic surgery in New York City and then specialized in spinal surgery in San Francisco.

Dr. Shadid is a member of the American Academy or Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the International Spinal Injection Society, and is board certified by the American Medical Association.

 

Dr. Shadid has extensive training and clinical experience in the field of surgery as well as interventional pain management including spinal injections and spinal cord stimulation. Dr. Shadid is an expert at the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of spinal conditions.
